Speaker Title: Synergy of AMS verification and Functional Safety
Abstract:

Functional safety verification can be challenging, even in purely digital designs. Yet, the physical world is inherently analog, and automotive electronics must accurately reflect that reality. As a result, verification methodologies have expanded into analog/mixed-signal (AMS), becoming standard practice for most semiconductor companies. Now, it's time to bridge AMS verification with functional safety efforts. This presentation will show you an efficient approach to making that connection.

Key Points:

  • Modern chips require thorough verification of failure propagation across digital and analog boundaries.
  • Analog fault simulation is time-consuming, but performing it once allows creation of behavioral models that accurately represent faulty inputs and various failure modes.
  • Replacing analog IPs with these behavioral models in digital fault simulation speeds up the validation of complex verification scenarios.
Speaker Biography:

Evgeny graduated from the Micro- and Nano-Electronics Institute at the Moscow Engineering Physics University. He spent eight years in the aviation industry as an analog design engineer and multi-chip module engineer before transitioning to the EDA industry. For the past six years, he has specialized in AMS verification and Functional Safety products, serving as both an FAE and a PE.
