Beyond Circuits: Modeling Arbitrary Physics in Digital Verification

Overview

Most systems include some non-circuit elements. Complete verification of these systems requires including important behaviors of the non-circuit elements within digital verification simulations. This work reviews SystemVerilog behavioral modeling techniques that can be used to simulate a variety of non-circuit system elements. It includes relevant examples demonstrating the use of these modeling techniques.
