Autonomous vehicle testing ensures that a vehicle is a road safe by ensuring that enough measures exist to safeguard people both inside and around the vehicle. Testing via physical trials is reliable but the costs can be high, and it is often difficult to test all the possible scenarios (view our white paper for details).

By combining Virtual Simulation-based testing with the results of mandated physical trials Tessolve is able to offer a comprehensive and cost-effective approach to autonomous vehicle testing, where the data generated can be compared with a few physical scenarios to establish a higher level of trust.

Virtual verification uses a simulation environment and a testbench to test the autonomous vehicle, where the simulation environment provides the software to run and visualize the test while the testbench is used to configure, run and record the results. Virtual verification can be used at various stages of the autonomous vehicle development lifecycle. Tessolve has extensive experience working on autonomous vehicle verification at all stages, including the acquisition of some unique capabilities following our involvement in the recent Robopilot and Capri research projects.
