WiSens® Base Board Module

WiSens® programmable base board with 16 bit microcontroller.

Description

The WiSens® Base board is specially designed for the development of a low data-rate, low power ZigBee application on the WiSens® radio communication module(RCM).
The board describes various level interfaces and key performance parameters.

Extra degree of flexibility is achieved by the software developers with 2" x 2", 0.1" pitch prototyping area.
Application development is supported by a configurable hardware.
More software and input/output interface options are included.

Hardware and Software Features

Board is compact and robust.
The WiSens® Base board can be powered from any of these sources
DC jack (J3) with 12 V DC power supply.
Battery pack connector (J4).
The InSight Adapter (via InSight Port, J1 on the WiSens® RCM)
Temperature sensor (connects to WiSens® ADC module).
Two LEDs for software debugging and application development.
RS-232 transceiver with DB-9 connector for serial communication (no HW handshake support) 
Piezo buzzer (connect to GPIO).
InSight data emulation interface.
Battery pack connector
Additional debug features is provided  to the software developer by the InSight Adapter, the connector.

Hardware and Software Specifications

Minimum operating temperature is -40 and maximum is +85.
20-pin, 0.1" pitch, dual-row logic-analyzer shrouded connector.
The InSight Adapter (via InSight Port, J1 on the WiSens® RCM).

VJACK is 3V when connected to an InSight Adapter or when using the 12V Wall Wart.
VBATT can be 2.1 to 3.6V, but usually it will be 3.0V.
VBRD = VJACK when using a 12V Wall Wart or InSight Adapter.
VBRD = VBATT when Battery connected and VJACK is not connected.
